San Francisco, CA – 31 August 2022 – PhaBuilder, a synthetic biology company on a mission to use microbes to produce biodegradable materials to change the world and build a green future, announced that it has been named on Cleantech Group’s 2022 APAC Cleantech 25.
The APAC Cleantech 25 program has been running since 2018. It is an annual list of private sustainable innovation companies that are poised to make a significant impact in the next five-to-ten-years.
PhaBuilder mainly uses the cutting-edge "Next Generation Industrial Biotechnology, NGIB" for a "new generation of green super factory of cell" to develop and produce a variety of high-value-added products such as PHA - a biodegradable material, ectoine - a pharmaceutical intermediate, and cadaverine - a Nylon 56 precursor.
“We are delighted to present another 25 exciting companies from the Asia-Pacific region,” said Richard Youngman, CEO, Cleantech Group. “Innovators are pushing forward the technology frontiers and challenging the status quo, in pursuit of the ultimate goals of a cleaner and net zero global economy.”
In the future, PhaBuilder will constantly promote synthetic biotechnology to deeply integrate with people's lives and upgrade the intelligent biological manufacturing industry to achieve low-carbon development and circular economy.
